CHOCOLATE COFFEE

Ingredients
2 tbsp instant coffee
1/4 cup sugar
1 dash salt
1 oz chocolate
1 cup water
3 cups milk
Whipped cream
Method
In saucepan combine coffee, sugar, salt, chocolate, and water
Stir over low heat until chocolate has melted.
Simmer 4 minutes, stirring constantly.
Gradually add milk, stirring constantly until heated.
When piping hot, remove from heat and beat with rotary beater or hand blender until mixture is frothy.
Pour into cups and put a dollop of whipped cream on the surface of each.
Makes 6 servings

PROTEIN SHAKE


Protein shakes are a safe way to ensure enough protein, when used as part of a balanced, nutrient-rich diet.One will have fewer infections, less heat exhaustion, and less muscle soreness.

Ingredients:
Method

  • Put banana,kiwi and sunflower seeds in a blender and blend till smooth.
  • Add milk,yogurt,juice,peanut butter and wheat germ blend for a minute.
  • serve chilled.
  • Use flavoured yogurt or sugar if you like.

GREEN SMOOTHIE

Green Smoothies

The healthiest of all  smoothies, green smoothies are the best way to consume leafy greens.
A powerhouse of nutrients for you with minimum effort.
Use a good amount of dark leafy greens  in smoothie form, greens are more palatable and you can therefore consume more of them.
Ingredients
Spinach leaves-1cup
A handful of  coariander leaves
Seedless greengrapes-1cup
2 cups water
Sugar or a pinch of salt
Method

Blend all ingredients in a blender till smooth and serve immediately.

Cucumber Mint Smoothie

Have this for breakfast it will keep you going all morning .It was one of the lightest and most refreshing  smoothies loaded with nutrients 


Cucumber Mint Smoothie
Ingredients.
  • Cucumber-1
  • Fresh mint leaves -1/4 cup depending on how strong you want  you can take less. 
  • Honey-2 tbsp
  • Yogurt/curd-1/2cup
  • Salt a pinch.


Method
  • Peel and slice cucumber.
  • Put in a blender and blend till smooth.
  • Garnish with aslice of cucumber and a sprig of mint and serve immediately.
  • Use chilled ingredients.

CHOCOLATE SMOOTHIE

Smoothies are the easiest-and one of the best-possible meals you can make. Dump a few ingredients, push a button, then swig. This smoothie recipes take more of a dessert twist to satisfy your late-night or postdinner sweet craving.

Ingredients
  • 1 scoop low-fat chocolate ice cream
  • 1 tablespoon chocolate syrup
  • 1/2 cup low-fat  milk
  • 1 tablespoon chocolate whey protein powder or any drink powder
  • 1/2 banana
  •  ice cubes
Method
  • Put all ingredients in a blender, and blend until smooth.
  • For extra volume, add more ice.

CAPPUCCINO MIX


This is an excellent beverage mix recipe .
Prep Time: 10 minutes
Ingredients:
1 cup milk powder
1 cup instant sweetened chocolate drink mix
2/3 cup instant coffee powder
1/2 cup sugar
1/2 tsp. ground cinnamon
1/4 tsp. ground nutmeg
Preparation:
Combine all ingredients in a medium bowl and mix well with a wire whisk.
Store in an airtight container in a cool, dark place.
Makes about 3 cups dry mix.
To prepare one serving:
Add 3 tablespoons mix to 6 ounces of hot water and stir well to blend.

Homemade Hot Chocolate Mix

Make up a big batch of hot chocolate mix recipe and you'll be ready for winter
Prep Time: 15 minutes
Ingredients:
10-2/3 cups powdered milk
6 oz. jar powdered nondairy creamer
4 cups powdered sugar
2 cups unsweetened cocoa powder

Preparation:
Combine all ingredients in a large bowl and stir gently to mix well. Store in an airtight container in a cool dark place.
For one serving, stir 3 tablespoons Homemade Hot Chocolate Mix into 1 cup of hot water or milk until dissolved.

Hot Cocoa


  • This recipe is with a chocolate syrup that makes the hot cocoa especially rich and delicious.
    Ingredients:1/2 cup sugar
    1/4 cup cocoa powder
    pinch salt
    1/3 cup hot water
    4 cups whole milk
    1 tsp. vanilla
    METHOD:
  • In a medium saucepan, combine sugar, cocoa and salt and mix well.

  • Stir in water and beat with wire whisk to blend.
  • Cook over medium heat, stirring constantly, until mixture boils.
  • Boil and stir for 2 minutes.
  • Then add milk and stir with wire whisk until well blended.
  • Heat over medium heat, stirring frequently, until hot but not boiling.
  • Remove from heat and stir in vanilla, then beat with wire whisk until foamy.
  • Serves 4.
